Assignment 17 - Elevator Pitch No. 2

1) The pitch

2) A reflection on the feedback I received from my last pitch
Upon reviewing the feedback I received from my first elevator pitch, the feedback I found most surprising and useful was regarding my speech. I was told that I had stumbled a bit during a portion of my pitch. I reviewed my pitch and identified the portion that was mentioned. I have since then worked to improve my speech in order to avoid any minor stumbles.

3) What did I change based on feedback?
The biggest thing that I changed based on the feedback I received was my speech. I practiced my pitch a number of times to insure that it would be as smooth as possible. I also made a point to be a bit more energetic and use more hand gestures. This was to ensure that my pitch was more entertaining to watch.

  1. Alex,
I can tell that you practiced this elevator pitch, you were very clear and smooth in talking and had a nice speaking pace. I thought the pitch itself was great and very clearly communicated, especially the fact that you went into detail like the materials you would use for your product. My first thought was that I would love something like that for the beach.

  2. Hey Alexander,
Great pitch, I commented on the first one you gave and after this one, you definitely sold me on the port-a-chair. I liked how calm you seemed, your body language wasn't distracting and actually accentuated your pitch. The intro was nice and grabbed the audience's attention, you definitely took the criticisms and used them to improve upon the base from the last pitch.

  3. Hey Alexander,
Your pitch was so good! It was clear that you knew what you were talking about and that you had practiced it. Your elevator pitch was extremely clear and cohesive. Your body movement was not distracting what-so-ever. It actually was personable and made me want to listen to what you said. I can definitely see improvements from your last post.
